Friday 24 December

Exhibition of works of art – throughout the month of December at the Granby Library. See the visual diary of Suzanne Martino.

Christmas Lights Tour – Until December 31st. Drive through Granby to see the best Christmas light shows and vote for your favorite. View stops and vote at http://www.destinationgranby.com/events/holiday/. The winner was announced on January 3.

Torchlight Parade – 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Winter Park Resort. Take part in an evening filled with holiday cheer, from photos with Santa Claus to Christmas carols throughout the village. Stay warm by the bonfire while enjoying the fireworks display and torchlight parade lighting up the night sky.

Christmas Eve worship – 5 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. at Lord of the Valley Lutheran Church. Masks strongly recommended for worship at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. and compulsory for service at 9 p.m. The 5 p.m. service is also available on Zoom. For more information, lordofthevalley.org.

Christmas Eve Services – 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Eternal Hills Church. Traditional candlelight reading and music services. Masks are encouraged. Call 970-887-3603 for more information.

Celebrate the Recovery – 6:45 p.m. at Grand River Assembly Church. The scholarship begins at 6 p.m. prior to the weekly meeting. For more information, 970-887-9784.

Saturday 25 December

The day of Christmas.

Christmas dinner – 6 p.m. at Tame Wellness. A free Christmas dinner for the community. Email [email protected] to save your seat.

Sunday December 26

Kauffman House Museum – 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 407 Pitkin Street, Grand Lake. Discover the festively decorated Victorian Kauffman House with fascinating tours, mulled cider and cookies. Tickets are $ 5 for adults and free for children under 12 and members of the Grand Lake Area Historical Society.

Wednesday, December 29

Winter Park-Fraser Valley Rotary Meeting – noon to 1:30 p.m. at Fisher’s Bar in Fraser. For more information, email [email protected].

Open Registration Event – 11 am-4:30pm at the Fraser Valley Library. The Grand County Rural Health Network will explain health insurance options to you and help you enroll. Drop-ins are welcome.

Simply Spanish – 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Granby Community Building. Join instructor Kathy Naples for a “not quite” beginner’s Spanish course. Registration is requested and can be done by calling Granby Rec at 970-887-3961.

Book Club – 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Devil’s Craft. Mountain Shire Books & Gifts The book club’s choice for December is “The Cold Millions” by Jess Walter. Everyone is welcome.

Thursday, December 30

Live music with Matt Brown – 5 to 7 p.m. at the Summit Bar and Grill at the River Run RV Resort. Locals get a 15% discount on food.

Live Music – 9 p.m. at Devil’s Craft. Some of Grand County’s favorite locals, The Wiedl Brothers, are sure to entertain with their playlist of popular covers, from a variety of eras and genres. They will keep the place open until closing time.

Friday December 31

Cranmer Community Dinner – 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Cranmer Chapel. All are welcome for a free meal. Due to COVID, meals will only be take out.

New Year’s Eve concert – all evening at the Granby Ranch. Concert, fireworks and torchlight parade.

New Years Dinner – 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at River Run. Tickets for the first dinner are $ 45 for adults and $ 20 for children and tickets for the second seat are $ 60 for adults and $ 20 for children. Reservations required. Send an email to [email protected].

Shine on New Years Eve – 6-9 p.m. at the Rendezvous Event Center. The event is free and open to the public with tobogganing, tubing, a Silent Disco by Big Little Sound and an early evening fireworks display. Sledges, tubes and slides provided by the sliding track of the event center.

Cocktail Party – 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. at River Run. Only adults. Live music by Piano Joe. Tickets cost $ 20 and include a drink ticket and a champagne toast. Reservations required. Send an email to [email protected].

NYE Blues Dance Party – 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Devil’s Craft. The Grand County Blues Society is giving AJ Fullerton a free midnight champagne toast. Tickets cost $ 40 and are available at grandblues.org. This is an over 21 event and proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test will be required prior to the show.

New Years Eve with Rocky Mountain Rep – 9 p.m. at the Rocky Mountain Repertory Theater. For more information, rockymountainrep.com.

Kauffman House Museum – 10 p.m. to midnight at 407 Pitkin Street, Grand Lake. Join the museum while Grand Lake waits for fireworks over the lake. For $ 5, sample hot cider, sweets, and fascinating tours of the lamp-lit Victorian hotel and family home.

Saturday January 1

New Years Day.

Comedy Night – 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. at the historic Grand Lake Community House. Comedians John Novosad and Nancy Norton of Comedy Works in Denver will perform two shows. Tickets are $ 25 and can be purchased at GrandArtsCouncil.com or at the Re / Max Peak to Peak office in Grand Lake.
